Opportunity

This campaign offers Michele Rosenbaum an opportunity to reflect on the commitments she made four years ago, the progress the District has made under her leadership, and the important work that lies ahead. When she was first elected in 2021, students were still learning remotely and the future was uncertain. Michele campaigned on restoring learning, rebuilding community connection, and ensuring long-term stability—and the results have been meaningful and measurable.

One of her most impactful accomplishments has been the renewal of the Superintendent’s contract for another three years. A six-year tenure is unprecedented in Riverdale’s recent history and reflects the strength of their working relationship. Part of the Superintendent’s decision to stay was influenced by the board’s future makeup, and Michele committed to running for reelection to provide the consistency needed to see major initiatives through.
Michele is eager to continue this work and bring key projects to completion. Her focus remains on building on the success of Riverdale’s students, strengthening the schools, and supporting the long-term health of the District.
Riverdale needs Board Directors with deep, proven experience—people who have shown up, volunteered, supported the Foundation, and understand the unique needs of the community. Michele has done that work—this year even personally recruiting new students. She considers herself both an ambassador and a steward of the District, and remains committed to its continued excellence.

As a teacher within the district, I've had the opportunity to observe Michele Rosenbaum's dedication and commitment to our students and schools for the past seven years, in both her role as a parent and as a school board member. Michele has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of the needs of our classrooms. She is a staunch supporter of bridging the gap between our middle school and high school. Michele's collaborative spirit, her willingness to listen, and her genuine passion for education make her an invaluable member of the Riverdale School Board.

I’m proud to support Michele Rosenbaum for reelection to RSD School Board. Michele served during one of the most successful and high-achieving periods in Riverdale’s history—and that’s no coincidence. Her steady leadership helped restore in-person learning, bring back key programs like field studies and a second foreign language, and strengthen both academic support and STEAM education. Michele is deeply committed to our community and incredibly generous with her time; she is always working to make our schools better. She played a major role in stabilizing our leadership and budget while also reopening opportunities for community use and alumni engagement. Riverdale is stronger because of her service, and I hope you’ll join me in voting to reelect her.

One of the most rewarding parts of serving on the Riverdale School Board has been the relationships I've built and the creative collaboration along the way. Planning this event with such a talented group of parents — and taking time to celebrate each and every child — was a truly beautiful moment. These connections have become part of who I am and continue to shape how I approach the decisions we make as a Board.
