I have served on the Riverdale School Board since 2021 and am deeply invested in the success of our schools. My leadership has created growth in a time when our neighboring school districts have not bounced back from declines and are now facing large budget cuts. Since 2008, I have volunteered extensively to support our students, teachers, community and my four children. My family has been a part of every classroom from Pre-K through 12th grade.

Excellence: Our schools are highly rated and Riverdale High School was recently recognized by Niche as the #1 Public High School in Oregon. My work continues as we build upon a comprehensive education with the application of the International Baccalaureate program this year. We have more work to do in integrating the connection and identity between both schools in our K-12 District.

Fiscal Viability and Responsibility: We have a vested interest in our District and its longevity. Thoughtful and transparent budgeting has enabled our District to maintain its exceptional programs and safeguard funds during a time when other school districts are facing massive fiscal shortfalls and drastic cuts.

Leadership: The role of the School Board is to create a strategic vision and oversee its accomplishment by the Superintendent. As Board Chair, I have worked closely with our talented and committed Superintendent and recently signed a renewal of his contract to provide much needed stable leadership.

Student Centered Education: I am committed to a well-rounded and exceptional Riverdale education with small class sizes where students develop academic mastery to become engaged lifelong learners and effective leaders.
